Health Conscious was founded in 2011 by Nicky Foster, known to her friends as Joy, on the ethos that ‘every body can heal itself’. As a qualified Pharmacist with a personal interest and self-motivated study in natural medicine, Joy wanted to inspire the local community to take control of their health and start on the path towards ‘wholeness’. We are absolutely passionate about living a vibrant and joyful life and feel that eating good quality wholefoods plays a large part in achieving that.

The upstairs studio
Above our shop you’ll find our bright and peaceful studio space that is ideal for yoga, pilates, tai chi, meditation and any number of other group activities to promote your health and wellbeing. Why not join a class or take up a new activity?

Our quiet and cosy wood-panelled room which is perfect for complimentary therapies and treatments such as Reflexology, Sports Massage, Aromatherapy Massage, Reiki, Indian Head Massage, Craniosacral Therapy and other holistic and complimentary therapies, as well as talking therapies.

Who Gives A Crap are a UK based company, founded in 2012 by three friends who were fans of toilet humor, they make toilet paper to help build toilets, and they donate 50% of their profits to sanitation programs.
